Clinton H. Patterson, 84, of 813 E. Wabash Ave died Wednesday afternoon in Culver Hospital where he had been taken Tuesday. A son of George Frank and Sarah Belle Keene Patterson, he was born Oct 12, 1881. He attended schools here. He was twice married. His first wife Ida preceded him in death and he was married in 1930 to Fannie Washington. She died Feb 3, 1962. Mr. Patterson was employed for a time at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama and later Wilberforce Univeristy in Ohio. He was a Pullman porter for some time, working out of St. Louis. He was a member of the Bethel AME Church and past master of St. Mark's Lodge No 25, F&AM and also a member of the Scottish Rite & Shrine at Indianapolis. Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Grace Thomas of Cincinnati and many cousins. A sister, Mrs. (Miss) Blanche M. Patterson of this city died last Feb 15. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev LO Lapsley officiating. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
